Living the Dream 1 Mile at a Time
We have been blessed with so many visitors. In addition to Alyssa who stayed with us for 2 weeks, we had visits from my nephew Mark and his wife Megan, our son Wade and his wife Shelbie and other special family and friends.
Wade’s longtime friend Josh proposed to Shelbie’s sister at Jenny Lake. We got to be part of the celebration and had a great time visiting with them all.
It is hard to believe that we have been working at Jenny Lake store for over 2 months. We are having a great time and are enjoying the beautiful renovations they made at Jenny Lake. On July 3rd they had a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the completion of a 5 year 20 million dollar renovation. These improvements are bringing in huge crowds and the store is experiencing record breaking numbers.
Besides work we have had the pleasure of spending time with family and friends. In June my brother Gary and his wife Terrie and their daughter Brittney spent a week in the Tetons. We had a great time hiking, sightseeing and of course eating. At the beginning of July our daughter Alyssa and her friend Stacey came to visit. Stacey had to go home, but we are blessed to have Alyssa still with us for another week. We are having a great time. She also brought along her 2 dogs so our motorhome has been turned into a kennel.
We have also been able to go to church in the campground with some of our friends that we work with.
We are having a great time on our adventure and will keep you updated on our journey.

We have used our 2 days off to be tourists and enjoy the beautiful area. On Monday we went to the Jackson Hole Ski Resort and took the aerial tram up to the top. We experienced an elevation change of over 4 thousand feet.
On Tuesday we went on a van tour with 10 other employees to Yellowstone. We went to Old Faithful, Grand Prismatic Springs, Grand Canyon of Yellowstone and Yellowstone Lake. It was a long, but enjoyable day.
We have been here for over a month and are loving the Tetons. We love our jobs and all the people we have met.
We look forward to visits from friends and relatives over the next several months.
We have been in the Grand Tetons for almost 3 weeks and we are enjoying our job at Jenny Lake Store. It is my first experience working retail and I love it. We are enjoying meeting and talking with the customers.

We made it to the Tetons on Sunday. The scenery and wildlife are beautiful. We have orientation on Tuesday and will go to Jenny Lake Store on Wednesday. We saw a Grizzly Bear today that walked within 10 feet of our truck. We are in awe of God’s creations.
We completed the three week assignment at Kidder Creek and headed for the Grand Tetons on Friday the 26th. We had a wonderful time volunteering and were able to renovate 6 cabins. We made new friends and enjoyed serving along side a great VMM team.
I am in my happy place again. Just completed the 1st week at Kidder Creek Adventure Camp. We are removing siding from old tent cabins and replacing with new wood that was milled at the camp.
We have had a wonderful time with family over the last 6 weeks and are now on the move again. We left Michele’s parents on Wednesday, April 3rd and arrived at Kidder Creek Adventure Camp in Scotts Valley outside of Yreka, CA on Friday. What a beautiful area and RV park. We will be working on renovating cabins over the next 3 weeks. Looking forward to using power tools again.
It has been almost 3 months since Michele or I have worked a paying job. That will soon end as we are scheduled to start work in the Grand Tetons at the end of April. We will be Sales Associates at Jenny Lake Store for almost 5 months. We are so excited for this opportunity and would love to see you if you are in the area.
We had a great day on Friday with Michele’s parents. We visited Yosemite and got to see all of God’s creations. It is so awesome to see all that God has made.
